Juniper Green Primary School in association with Lothian Ski Racing is hosting an invitation Ski Race at Midlothian Snowsports Centre (Hillend), Biggar Road on Friday 28th June 2019. Organisers would like to invite children from the following primary schools to join us for an afternoon of fun:
Juniper Green Primary School
Currie Primary School
Nether Currie Primary School
Dean Park Primary School
This is a fun event and competitors do not have to have any previous race experience. The race will be a simple slalom from the middle station (first red line) at Hillend. All skiers who can control their speed and turns from the middle station at Hillend are eligible to enter.
Medals will be awarded for Individual Boys/Girls Events, and one overall team event.
Entry to the race costs £15 and this includes, your ski hire, uplift ticket, and a packed lunch. Payments will appear on your statement as Incito Ltd as they are kindly providing logistics support.
All competitors must have third party liability insurance. If you are a member of a Snowsport Scotland affiliated ski club, or have entered a Scottish Schools Snowsports Association race in the academic year 2018-2019 then you already have insurance. If you are an LSR trainee you are already insured. If you do not have insurance this can be purchased for £3.50 at the same time as paying for the race entry.
